Recently, Mahindra invited a few foreign journalists to its facility. This visit was made to explain and demonstrate Mahindra's safety standards. During this visit, we saw a few clicks of the Mahindra XUV.e8’s exterior and a very interesting click of the Thar 5-door’s interior in the flesh. So, let us get into today’s topic of Mahindra XUV.e8 seen in an Australian YouTuber video.

Firstly, we shall talk about the XUV.e8 because there is a big and important change made to the vehicle. We have already covered the XUV.e8 enough that we are mostly aware of what we might get in its production avatar. But, we have found one very interesting detail, as said in this (video), which states that there might be a major change made to the XUV.e8’s design and technology. Let us talk about it.

New LED Headlamp Design for the XUV.e8 -

If we have a look at the media images shared by Mahindra of the XUV.e8, it is visible that the Headlamp design is very angular. It is simply a triangular design with a long-running LED DRL covering it. There is nothing much going on there in terms of the design. 

But, when we had a look at this image clicked inside Mahindra’s research facility recently. We got to see a change in the XUV.e8’s headlamp design, which is significantly different than what we were shown in the media images. 

We can see that the design of the headlamp is no longer a simple triangle; it has more angularity in it. We can not define what shape it is, but we are sure that the headlamp has now become bigger. 

This major change in the design of the headlamps gives us a lot of cues and hints that we might get a differently laid-out design for the headlamp unit. Earlier, there were just two LED beams stacked upon each other, and now, there might be three to four beams. 

Secondly, we might also see a different design for the LED DRLs, as the housing for them has gotten bigger. Maybe Mahindra will not fidget with the design of the DRLs much, as they are already very big and significant. Still, a slight tweak here and there can be expected.

Thar 5-door's Interiors spied completely -

Our rigorous tries to get the best spy shot of the Thar 5-door’s interior seem to be completed, as we have received a very clear image of the Thar 5-door’s interiors. Now, we know that you have a question, What qualifies this Interior to be of the Thar 5-door? We have an answer with two simple facts to prove this interior to be of the Thar 5-door. 

First Point - Look, till now, we have seen the Thar 3-door millions of times, and we are aware of every minute detail it has. Concerning this, the Thar 3-door’s interiors, if you do not know, is a completely black-colored space. There is no other color used other than black. On the other hand, if you have a look at this image, then it is of an interior similar to the one in Thar 3-door, but it is colored in Brown and Black. Thus, it proves it is not of the Thar 3-door but it is of the Thar 5-door.

Second Point - This particular interior has not been kept for a show purpose in the Research Facility, but it is undergoing a test for its durability. This proves that this interior is of the Thar 5-door because it is being tested for all the consequences during an off-road trail that the Thar 5-door might go through. 

Other than this, we talk about the interior itself; there is not much shown. The 10-inch Infotainment screen has been removed for obvious reasons. The rest of the interior is very similar to the Thar 5-door we have seen glimpses of through numerous spy shots. There is the same AC unit, and the AC vents are the same, too.
