JSW MG Motor India has hiked the prices of its popular MG Windsor by Rs. 50,000 across all variants. The MG Windsor variants were launched in September 2024 with its introductory pricing offer. Soon after launching, MG Windsor became the best-selling EV in MG’s model lineup. The introductory pricing offer was to continue until either 10,000 units were sold or December 31, 2024.
As 10,000 units were sold in December 2024 only, the company has ended the introductory pricing offer and hiked the prices by Rs. 50,000. Following the price revision, the MG Windsor EV now starts at ₹13.99 lakh for the base Excite variant, ₹14.99 lakh for the mid-range Exclusive trim, and ₹15.99 lakh for the top-end Essence variant (all prices ex-showroom).
Apart from the price hike, Motor India has also withdrawn the complimentary charging offer. This offer allowed the initial users to charge their EV vehicles for free using the MG e-hub app— a platform that integrates charging stations from various operators. This benefit was limited to the purchasers who took the delivery of their vehicles before 31st December 2024.
The revised price of the MG Windsor variants came with immediate effect. The hike amount is the same for all three variants. Previously, the base price started at Rs. 13,49, 800, going up to Rs. 15,49,800. Now, the base price remains Rs. 13,99,800, and the Essence variant costs Rs. 15,99,800.
