Top 10 Best Selling Cars in March 2024

April 9th, 2024

The Indian Automobile Market is growing like it on a space rocket. This is attracting a lot of new contenders, and the exciting ones to bring in some exciting products in the market. This, further, is creating a tough competition for all of them. Well, in today’s Carversal article, we are going to have a look at the Top 10 Best selling cars in the month of March 2024, whether it is a Maruti, Tata, or Hyundai, let us find out.

On the First place, is the Tata Punch. The Punch has been a great-performing SUV, since its launch. It has been just going up and has never seen a downgrade in its sales till now. Even in the month of March 2024, Tata Motors has sold 17,547 units of the Punch. This has made the car beat every other car in its competition, even the Marutis.

On the Second spot, we have the Hyundai Creta. Creta has been in the spotlight, as unfortunately, it has got some of the most hated drivers (Driving Ethics-wise). Still, this SUV has outperformed every other SUV in its segment. There is no car that has even come close to what this SUV has been achieving every month, still, there are a few hopes for the upcoming Mahindra and Tata Coupe SUVs for this segment. Anyway, in the month of March 2024, Hyundai has sold 16,458 units of Creta.

The next runner-up in the Third spot is the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. There is no other car that can give even a flick to what this hatchback has created in terms of trust. For decades this car has been topping up to the Top 5s. Most of it is coming from the commercial market, as the Wagon R’s mileage is unbeatable in its segment. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 16,368 units of Wagon R.

The car in the Fourth spot is the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Again, like the Wagon R, the Dzire is also famous for its commercial market success, and for its CNG iterations, too. This sedan is also the king in its own segment and is way ahead in terms of sales of every other sedan in its segment. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 15,894 units of the Dzire.

Next in the Fifth spot is the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The sibling of the Dzire, Swift is basically the hatchback version of the Dzire. It gets the same equipment as the Dzire, and of course, it has been unbeatable in its own game. A lot of cars tried to match the Swift’s goods, but failed terribly, as Maruti has a bigger hand of trust. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 15,728 units of the Swift.

The Sixth spot in this list goes to Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The Baleno, since, it has got its major update, has been a great hatchback. It gets a lot of valuable stuff, which makes the hatchback sell like hotcakes every single month. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 15,588 units of the Baleno.

The Seventh spot is for the real SUV of India, Mahindra Scorpio. There are plenty that claim to be the real SUVs of the country, but out of all those, the Scorpio just stands out every time. With a real 4x4 on its board and a massive stance, this SUV excels in what it is made for. In the month of March 2024, Mahindra sold 15,151 units of the Scorpio.

The Eighth position has been claimed by the most successful MPV in India, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. This MPV has no competition, if we would think hypothetically because it just does not care what it is competing to. It outnumbers every newcomer and even the old ones every single month. And of course, the credit should be given to the MPV itself, as it is a great package altogether. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 14,888 units of the Ertiga.

The second last that is the Ninth position is given to, again, a Maruti, the Brezza. This SUV competes with the mighty Nexon, which had shaken the segment of sub-4-meter SUVs a few months ago. Still, Brezza has managed to sell more than the Nexon, which is great. In the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 14,614 units of the Brezza.

The last that is in the Tenth position stands the mighty Tata Nexon. The Nexon, a few months ago, gave us quite a confidence that it would never be outnumbered by the Brezza but, it seems that tables have turned. The Nexon this month, stands below the Brezza, even though giving a decently good package compared to the Brezza. In the month of March 2024, Tata Motors sold 14,058 units of the Nexon. So, this table started a Tata, and now, it ended with a Tata!
