With increasing growth in the Indian Automobile Industry, we are getting to see many comebacks, failures and improvements in terms of sales figures of various brands. In the month of July too, we got to see some inclines and some declines in terms of every particular brand’s market performance.


Let’s discuss the sales chart of Top 10 best selling car brands in July 2023 in India.


Up top stands as always, Maruti Suzuki. You name one brand who actually has surpassed them since a decade, no one! And even in the month of July 2023, the brand clocks the sales mark of 1,52,126 units, which is 19,099 units more than the previous month - June 2023 - and 9,276 units more than July 2022.


The position below the first has been acquired by Hyundai. They too have been constantly performing well and maintaining the position of being the Second biggest Car manufacturer in India. They sold 50,701 units in the month of July 2023, which is more than the previous month June 2023 by 700 units and 201 units more than July 2022.



The Third position has the usual customer, Tata Motors. They have been holding the spot for a long time too. They managed to sell 47,630 units in the month of July 2023, which is more than the month of June 2023 by 390 units and 124 units more than July 2022.



Fourth position in the list has been captured by Mahindra. They have made a tremendous amount of incline when it comes to every month’s sales. In the month of July 2023, they have sold 36,205 units, more than the month of June in 2023 by 3,620 units and 8,434 units more than July 2022.


Then comes a new contender for the spot of fifth position, Toyota Motors. After a long time Toyota has managed to jump over Kia Motors. They have sold 20,759 units in the month of July 2023, which is 2,522 units more than in the month of June 2023 and 1,066 units more than in the month of July 2022.



The sixth position has been given to Kia Motors by Toyota Motors, as said. Kia sold 20,022 units in the month of July 2023, which is more than the month of June 2023 by 611 units and they sold 2,020 units less than in the month of July 2022. This is the first brand in the list which has seen a loss when compared to yearly sales.


The Seventh position is equipped by MG motors which has seen a sales figure of 5,012 units in the month of July 2023, it is less than the month of June 2023 by 113 units and more than the month of July 2022 by 999 units. This is the first brand in the list which has seen a loss when compared to its previous month’s sales.


Honda is the next one who’s standing on the eighth position. They have managed to sell 4,864 units in the month of July 2023, which is less than the month of June 2023 by 216 units and 1,920 units less than in the month of July 2022. This is the first brand in the list to witness a fall in both comparisons - previous month’s and yearly.


The second last spot is held by Skoda. They sold 4,207 units in the month of July 2023, it's more by 241 units than in the month of June 2023 and less by 240 units than in the month of July 2022.



The tenth position has been booked by the German Volkswagen. They managed to sell 3814 units in the month of July 2023, which is more than the month of June 2023 by 420 units and more by 899 units than in the month of July 2022.
