It happens rarely that almost 90% of the Top 10 selling cars in a month have faced a loss or decline in their sales. Well, in the month of August 2023, you will get to see it again. As we can see in the table, only Renault has seen an incline in their August 2023 sales chart. And rest of them have a Red mark on their sales chart, even the Top seller Maruti Suzuki. 

With that said, let us discuss the sales chart of the Top 10 best-selling car brands in August 2023 in India.

Up top stands as always, Maruti Suzuki. You name one brand who actually has surpassed them since a decade, no one! And even in the month of August 2023, the brand clocks the sales mark of 1,33,546 units, which is 18,580 units less than the previous month, July 2023 - and 620 units less than August 2022.

The position below the Top seller has been acquired by the Korean Automaker, Hyundai. They too have been consistently performing well and maintaining the position of being the Second biggest Car manufacturer in India. This time they have sold 47,072 units in the month of August 2023, which is less than the previous month July 2023 by 3,629 units and 2,438 units less than August 2022.

The Third position has been acquired by the Indian Giant, Tata Motors. They have been standing on this spot for a long time now. They have managed to sell 39,107 units in the month of August 2023, which is less than the month of July 2023 by 8,523 units and 10,403 units less than August 2022.

The fourth position in the list has been caught by Mahindra. In the month of August 2023, they have sold 30,989 units, less than the month of July 2023 by 5,216 units and 1,517 units more than August 2022. 

Then comes an Old holder for the spot of fifth position, Kia Motors, as last time, it was snatched by Toyota Motors. They have sold 18,269 units in the month of August 2023, which is 1,733 units less than in the month of July 2023 and 4,053 units less than in the month of August 2022.

The sixth position has been given to Toyota Motors again by Kia Motors, as said. Toyota sold 17,186 units in the month of August 2023, which is less than the month of July 2023 by 3,573 units and they sold 5,358 units more than in the month of August 2022.

The Seventh position is equipped by Skoda & Volkswagen cars combined or in simple words, Skoda VW Group, which has seen a sales figure of 7,602 units in the month of August 2023, it is less than the month of July 2023 by 419 units and more than the month of August 2022 by 1,333 units.

Honda is the next one who’s standing on the eighth position. They have managed to sell 4,590 units in the month of August 2023, which is less than the month of July 2023 by 274 units and 2,731 units less than in the month of August 2022.

The second last spot has been grabbed by MG Motors. They sold 4,104 units in the month of August 2023, it's less by 908 units than in the month of July 2023 and more by 281 units than in the month of August 2022.

The last or the Tenth position has been booked by the French Automaker, Renault . They managed to sell 3962 units in the month of August 2023, which is less than the month of July 2023 by 355 units and less by 3,050 units than in the month of August 2022.
