New 2023 Facelifted Tata Safari Spied with new 19 inch alloys and Sequential Turn Indicators

June 20th, 2023

Tata is extensively testing their new lineup of SUVs including the new Facelifted Harrier, Safari, and Nexon, and one of our carversal pro ( chinmay ) sent us the new spy shots of the 2023 Tata Harrier which he recorded while traveling across Tata’s Dharwad plant in Karnataka.

In the Spy shots, the new Facelifted harrier is fully covered and camouflaged from top to bottom but with some great focus, we can get a lot of new details about the Facelifted SUV.

In the first spy shots, we can see the back of the SUV completely camouflaged, but with more attention, we can see the change in rear taillights with the LED Bars being linear than before and will get a connected treatment as seen on the Concept versions displayed at the Auto Expo 2023.

The Lights will also get sequential turn indicators which can be seen in the video version of the spy shots, which will put it on par with the Mahindra XUV700 and Hector which get these features almost 3 years ahead. The rear bumpers are also expected to get some new updates with new styling and more off-road-oriented looks.

The next set of spy shots displays the side of the new Safari, with the overall looks and shape being similar to the current gen, but the new Safari will get 19-inch alloys which justify the off-road stance of the vehicle more, and also kind of looks similar to the one that was offered in the pre-facelifted Jeep Compass Limited Option. The alloys are in the five-spoke finish which further split into 2 smaller spokes-like roots.

In the next spy shots, the front of the vehicle is visible with the change in the overall placements of objects, like thinner connected taillights, grills having a smaller presence at the front, and the high beam and wide beam lights present in a vertical format

Powertrain

The new Tata Safari will get the previously offered 2.0l multi-jet diesel engine sourced from the Fiat Chrysler automotive also present in the MG Hector or the Jeep Compass but can get 400 NM Torque easily with some minor tuning and will also be offered with Tata’s newly developed 1.5L Turbocharged direct injection engine which will produce around 170 hp.

The new Set of Tata SUVs are expected to launch by the end of 2023 as the lineup is now pretty old and all the other competitors have already launched facelifts of their SUV so expect the launch to happen around The third quarter of 2023 with prices starting around 14 Lakhs
