India’s most celebrated festival is around the corner. The festival of Deeyas ( Lamps ) is about to light up the whole of India. Diwali is loved in India and celebrated with the utmost rich joy. In fact, this festival also brings a wave of positive phases throughout the country. But, do you know? This might be the most liked festival by us Indians, but still, it is the most loathed festival by all the Cars. Now, we know, you might say, “how do you know this? Cars don’t even speak.” Absolutely, they don’t, but we understand what is good and what is not for them, and we can claim that firecrackers are undoubtedly not good for them. Find a Safe-Covered Parking Spot

This is the very first thing you should do. Finding a proper, safe parking spot for your vehicle is very necessary, as it has plenty of advantages to go with your car’s safety during such festivals. Covered parking will provide relief, as no burning or harmful firecracker particles will damage your vehicle in any given situation.

Now, we know that it is quite challenging to find covered parking in Metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, etc, but there are paid parking spots available in such localities. You could subscribe to one of these paid parking areas until the festival of Diwali or any given Festival - which is credible to damage your vehicle - ends.

Try not to park your car under a tree as there are chances its branches may catch fire and fall onto your vehicle, also do try to not park your vehicle under an electricity pole as the wires have a chance of catching fire and damaging your vehicle.

Never keep your Car covered

Car covers are the best at times like Rainy seasons, Summer seasons, etc, but putting them over your car on Diwali is nothing but inviting your car’s damage. It will be best not to use car covers this Diwali; why, you ask? 

Basically, Car covers are made out of cloth or polythene, and these materials can react to any burning object easily on contact. Therefore, if you cover your car with its cover, thinking it would be the safest, well, unfortunately, it is a no! 

So, if your car - if it is covered by the Car cover - gets in contact with left-over particles of the firecrackers, then just like the firecrackers, it will light up, too.

Hence, avoid using the car cover during this Diwali; even though you think your car is parked in a covered, safe parking place, still do not use your car cover.

Keep a Fire Extinguisher in your Car

Diwali is a festival where we cannot predict what will happen and when will it happen. A Fire Extinguisher is a must at such times. In any given situation at such times, with burning fire particles almost everywhere, it is better to have an extinguisher in your car. In fact, it might not only be used in case of an unfortunate incident with your own vehicle but also, it might be used if something unfortunate happens to someone else through any given means.

Adding more to it, we even suggest having two extinguishers - One in your Car and One in your house. We just now discussed why it is essential to have a Fire Extinguisher in your car, but do you wonder why in your house?

Then, basically, if you are in your house with your vehicle parked outside, and if something unfortunate happens with it, you need to be ready with whatever the situation demands you to. So, if your car is on fire, which we hope not, and you cannot get in it for obvious reasons, then keeping a fire extinguisher in your house becomes very useful, won’t it?

Keep all Windows closed

Closing all windows is one of the most important things to do during Diwali. Well, obviously, you don’t want any unwanted things - mostly firecrackers - to get in your car and damage anything to an uncertain extent. Thus, it would be better for you to keep all the windows shut when you park it or even drive it.

Be aware while you Drive

It is not like, your car is in danger only when you park it; in fact, it is in danger when you drive it, too. Diwali is celebrated all over India, as said earlier. So, firecrackers might just appear from nowhere right in front of your car, and if it does, this might cost you a huge amount of risk for both LIFE and your CAR. 

We mean, anything could get damaged: your tire, body panels, lights, etc., and even sometimes your windows. Hence, it is very crucial to stay alert while you drive, then it does not matter if it is a 5-minute drive or a 5-hour drive.

Do not Drink and Drive

We know it is a festival of joy; everyone is enjoying or maybe partying, but there is no need for you to drink alcohol just so that you can enjoy it, too. Listen, it is not just the firecrackers who can damage your vehicle; it can also be you. So, restrict yourself from drinking any kind of liquor and then driving your vehicle.
