Curvv Brochure leaks ahead of its Launch - Every Detail about the Creta Killer

Curvv has been in the limelight ever since its design was showcased in the Tata’s UK facility. The Curvv happens to be a Midsize SUV segment’s contender, which currently is ruled by Hyundai Creta with a huge margin. The Curvv also happens to be the first SUV to have a Coupe design in the segment. This was done according to Creta’s unbeatable competition to its rivals, the Coupe design language gives a unique take to the Tata SUV. The Curvv’s launch is scheduled on 7 August but, before the launch day, the Brochure of the Curvv has been leaked, which reveals every detail of the SUV.

The Tata Curvv will be based on Nexon’s X1 platform. But, Nexon being a sub-compact SUV, its length limits before 4 meters, whereas, the Curvv exceeds this mark. Dimension-wise, the Curvv measures 4308 mm in length, 1810 mm in width, 1630 m in height, and the wheelbase of the SUV measures 2560 mm. 

The Curvv’s is 313 mm, 6 mm, and 10 mm longer, wider, and higher than the Nexon. Moreover, the wheelbase happens to be 60 mm bigger than that of the Nexon. 

The Curvv’s boot space also measures 422 liters, which is the least compared to all of the rivals.

The Curvv’s brochure confirms that the SUV will have 18 inch Diamond cut Alloy wheels with Aero inserts, Flush Door handles, All Four wheel Disc Brakes, a Powered Tailgate with Gesture control, and ADAS Level 2 on its exterior.

Moreover, there are all LED lights, Connected DRL treatment, 360 degree camera, thick Wheel Claddings, and a Nexon-inspired design language for the Curvv. 

The Curvv’s brochure also leaked quite a lot of information about its interiors - Voice Assisted Panoramic Sunroof, Phygital Control Panel, 12.3 inch iRA Connected Car integrated Infotainment screen, Multiple Voice Assistant, Wireless Smartphone charger, 6-way Powered Adjustable seats with Ventilation for both Driver and Co-Driver, 2 Position Rear seat recline, and Grand Central console. 

Moreover, the Curvv will also get all Four Powered Windows, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold function, Drive modes - Eco, Sport, and City, Center Armrest for both Front and Rear passengers, a Two-spoke Steering wheel with Digital Logo illumination, 10 inch Instrument Cluster with Navigation maps display, etc.

The Curvv EV Brochure was also leaked, which revealed a bit of information about the upcoming Creta rival Electric SUV. The Curvv EV’s Infotainment screen will be integrated with the Arcade.ev features and it will have V2V and V2L charging. 

Other than this, the Curvv EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform, it will probably have a 55 kWh battery pack with 450 km of real world driving range, Different design & color scheme for the EV, and Aero wheel covers for the 18 inch Alloy wheels. 


Engine Details 

Tata GDi Petrol engines

The Curvv’s Engine details have also been leaked by the Brochure. The Curvv will get a set of two Turbo Petrol engines, and one Naturally aspirated Diesel engine. 

1.2 L Turbo Petrol Engine - This engine will be sourced from the ongoing Nexon. It produces 120 hp and 170 Nm Torque. This engine will mated with a 5-speed Manual and 7-speed DCT Gearbox. 

1.2 L T-GDi Petrol Engine - This engine is a newly developed Tubo GDi Petrol engine by Tata Motors. It was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 alongside the Curvv. It will produce 125 hp and 225 Nm Torque. This engine will mated with a 6-speed Gearbox and a 7-speed DCT Gearbox. 

1.5 L Diesel Engine - This engine is one of the most sold Tata engines, and it is also very famous in the Nexon’s lineup. This engine produces 113 hp and 260 Nm Torque. This engine will be mated with a 6-speed Manual and a 7-speed DCT Gearbox.

 

Curvv Price Details

The Curvv will most probably be priced competitively to conquer the dominance of Creta in the Compact SUV segment. We believe that Curvv’s prices could start from ₹11 lakhs and go up to ₹17 lakhs.
