First Look of the Honda Elevate unveiled, launches on 6th of June

Honda India has officially confirmed the world debut of the Honda’s Creta rivaling SUV called the Honda Elevate. It will be unveiled on the 6th of June in New Delhi, along with that Honda has also provided us with its first look, unveiling some of its features and styling.


First Look: Exterior and Interior

From the picture, it seems that the SUV will come equipped with a sunroof, silver roof rails and shark fin antennas at the back of the roof. The styling features include, smooth bonnet, LED headlamps, sleek horizontal tail lights and smooth lines and curves along the body of the car.


The styling features of the SUV hints that Honda is going to keep its classy look and will not go towards aggressive styling unlike its competitors.


Coming to its interior, not much has been unveiled about it but we can expect Honda’s higher quality materials and latest tech inside it. We can expect some features such as Touchscreen Infotainment System, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic climate control and ADAS along with other safety features as well.


Engine and Specs

As for its engine the Elevate is likely to have the same 1.5L petrol engine equipped in the Honda City sedan that will produce around 121 hp of power and 150 Nm of torque and will come mated with the 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox.


According to our sources, the Elevate might receive a hybrid variant that will share the City e:HEV turbo-petrol engine. Honda has announced that the Elevate will not receive a diesel engine due to Honda’s discontinuation of diesel motors.


Pricing and Rivalry


In terms of pricing, the Honda Elevate will have a price range between Rs 12-19 lakh and it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
