The 2025 Maruti Dzire will be launched soon in the Indian market. Recently, it was spied on, too, out of a dealership, where a lot of key details, like New design and features were confirmed. On the other hand, the Honda Amaze has been in the market for a long time and is also regarded as one of the best deals at its price. So, which one to go for - this is the question - Here we have made everything easy for you.
In terms of design, both mini sedans look good. The Honda Amaze has a simple straight, boxy shape to its design, which gives it a typical Honda look. It uses chrome to embrace its Honda look more on the front grille. On the side, it runs on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with 175-section wide tyres. The rear section has been given even more boxyness in order to optimize the boot space inside. The Amaze uses all LED beams and strips for Headlamps and Tail lamps, respectively. It also uses a Shark fin antenna.
On the other hand, the 2025 Maruti Dzire will get a design revision, where it be sharper and boxier than before. It will be based on the same design structure as the new 2024 Swift. It will have a similar front-end design as the Amaze but, with less use of chrome. This time around, the Dzire will get a sleek horizontal headlamp design with Bugatti-like LED beams. The grille on the front extends to the lower end of the sedan. The side profile will still have some curves, and it will also run on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with 185-section tyres. The Rear end will have a similar design to its previous generation with minimal design given to its tail lamps.
Both sedans use petrol-only powertrains. Earlier, the Amaze and Dzire used to offer Diesel units, too, but, with respect to tightened emission norms, both sedans have dropped Diesel engine usage. The Amaze uses a 1.2 L i-VTEC Petrol unit that produces 89 hp and 110 Nm torque. This engine comes mated with either a 5-speed Manual or CVT Transmission. This engine is quite popular in the segment because of Honda’s i-VTEC technology, and overall, reliable and convenient nature. The mileage figures claimed by ARAI is 18.6 km/L.
The 2025 Maruti Dzire will be powered with the same new 1.2 L Z-series 3-cylinder Petrol unit that produces 80 hp and 111 Nm torque. This engine comes mated with either a 5-speed Manual or an AMT Transmission. This engine is a new unit and also a step down from the previous gen’s 4-cylinder unit to the 3-cylinder unit. But, this engine still impresses with its refined and peppy nature. We cannot claim anything about its reliability, as this engine is a new unit. The mileage figure claimed by ARAI is 25 km/L, it also gets Idle Start/Stop to enhance fuel efficiency. This engine also comes in CNG iteration, where it produces 70 hp and 101 Nm torque, only available in Manual.
The Honda Amaze is not as filled with features as the new 2025 Dzire would be. The Amaze is more of a no-nonsense sort of sedan, where it offers only the necessities with optimum practicality and convenience. It gets a 7-inch Infotainment screen with Wired Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a Digital-Analogue Instrument Cluster, Cruise Control, 4 Speaker system, LED Fog lamps, Electrically adjustable ORVMs with Manual Dimming IRVM, Fabric Seats with Rear Seat Armrest only, Push Start button, Automatic Climate Control, Reverse Camera with Guidance, 2 Airbags with ABS and EBD, ISO Fix mounts, 420 Litres of Boot space with 35 Litres of Fuel Tank, etc.
The 2025 Maruti Dzire will be launched with a host of new features, like the 2024 Swift. It will be a lot more premium than its previous generation. It will have a 9-inch Infotainment screen, a Digital-Analogue Instrument Cluster, Automatic Climate Control, Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, LED Foglamps, 6 Speaker system, Electrically ORVM, 6 airbags with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Hill Hold Control, Geo-Fence, OTA updates, Alexa compatibility, Rear Wiper with Washer, Gear Indicator, GPS Navigation, Aux compatibility, all 3-point Seatbelts, etc.
The Honda Amaze is priced reasonably with respect to its reliability and decent feature offering. It starts from ₹7.29 to ₹10.05 Lakhs.
The 2025 Dzire has not been launched yet but, we expect the new generation to have a price jump. We believe that the new 2025 Maruti Dzire could start from ₹7 to ₹10 Lakhs. The launch of this new 2025 Dzire will take place on November 11.
