Some images have been surfing over the internet as spy shot rends of the new 2024 Toyota Fortuner Next Generation, but is there any reality in the claims, and if yes, what are the latest updates? 

In the first spy shot, the entire vehicle is visible, which kind of looks similar to the current Fortuner, you get the same type of window lines, the same alloy types, wheel arches, and same door shapes, so this is pretty much the current generation Fortuner body which has been used in there renders or spy shots.

But the real difference starts at the front look of the vehicle, where we get a completely redesigned looks where you get a new big front grill, a lot bigger than before and similar to what Toyota has been offering in their Latest TNGA Platform SUVs like the Toyota Grand Highlander, then you get all new Headlights, which are a bit of Volvo like where you get a big LED bar which extends out of the light and beneath it you get three led vertical bars. Beneath the lights are big black grill type connecting to the Grill surrounding. The bumper is pretty much the same with the same silver cladding and the same Bumper shape. 

So are they real?

Most probably, these renders or spy shots are not accurate as the next generation Fortuner can’t be too much similar to the current one and the front looks of this new Fortuner do not look natural as it does not match overall Fortuner Aesthetics. 

Launch

The next generation Fortuner is expected to launch by 2024 last quarter so, almost 1.5 years later, and will first launch in International markets like Indonesia and Thailand and then within a Few Months in India. 

Powertrain

The next generation Fortuner will get a diesel hybrid powertrain under which the SUV will get great torque for off-roading along with the fuel efficiency of a hybrid motor. 

Price 

In terms of pricing and Toyota being Toyota, don’t expect the next generation Fortuner to be cheap as compared to the current one, and seeing Toyota’s Pricing trend, the Ex-showroom pricing of their new generation vehicle is similar to the on-road price of the last generation, to this time expect prices around ₹ 45-60 Lakhs Ex-showroom India.
